Bude For Food

It was a lot of hard work but the Committee delivered a Festival that brought the residents of Bude onto the Castle grounds to celebrate the diversity of products and range of amazing producers in and around Bude. The party atmosphere started on Friday evening when the marquee roared with the sound of laughter generated by Dan the Hat and Patrick Monahan and carried on through the two days of the food festival. Freshly Squeezed had the town rocking and an amazing time was had by everyone be they residents, exhibitors or demo chefs.
We’re now well into the planning phase of Bude For Food 2015 and we look forward to getting the whole of Bude involved; we’ll have some exciting acts for the entertainments on Friday and Saturday and when the marquee opens for the food festival on Saturday morning there will be an exciting range of producers and street food for you to try. Our chefs will tantalise you with their glorious cookery demonstrations and there will lots of other interesting events going on. This year our bar will be run by local publican Paul Lathom of the Prestongate Inn who will present a range of local beers and ciders and a selection of wines. Don’t miss the fun, get this in your diary now. We’ve even had two local couples move their choice of wedding day so they can join in our extravaganza of food and drink; that’s how good it is!
