Having already been thrilled to be awarded a gold, silver and bronze award in our first year of entry to the Taste of the West Awards 2013, we were overwhelmed to win a Best in Category Award at the Ceremony Lunch held at the Bristol Cricket Pavillion.
Judges comments “Smelt deeply of pork – very fresh and light – excellent. The texture was moist, creamy, well cooked and really meaty; it had a wonderful flavour and was well seasoned. This was a simple range of flavours that worked very well.”
The food industry in the South West consists of a group of generous, welcoming and extremely talented artisan producers with whom we feel we are just starting to make our mark. We felt very lucky to be able to spend the day mingling with some of the best food producers in the South West and made some great new friends.
